I was shocked when Cherry Jones won for "24" as she (and just about everyone else on the show) seemed to over-act. Then again, you have to over-act when there are about 72 hours worth of goings-on in one season.

Dark Starr deserves being fired! His schtick is getting old and tired. WCCO radio needs better talent and Dark Starr has never cut it as far as I am concerned. Mike Max also needs to get axed. I am tired of WCCO radio and the ratings seem to reflect this. When will Mick do something other than move Shelby around and allow John Hines to stumble around trying to be a talk show host. What 'CCO needs is someone to bring something new to the microphone table. But, 'CCO continues to hang on to a format that keeps dying in the ratings book. It's time for Sid to step-down and Chad to take over. It's time for 'CCO to do something fresh. Dark Starr is stale. The whole 'CCO format is stale--Susie Jones--PLEASE get rid of her! Why 'CCO did not let this jerk go is beyond me. This was 'CCO's chance to cut Starr and find someone with some real credibility to talk sports. What a shame 'CCO did not have the guts and creativity to do something fresh and new. No wonder people don't look to the good neighbor anymore for anything. The overnight situation is a real mess. No time and temperture updates, no severe weather presence, no real news updates (the same tape of news over-and-over again). Mick, do something fresh and new to the old tired neighbor. How about the Twins, Vikes, Gophers, Wild, and the Timberwolves rights? Not having the contracts for big sports has really tarnished 'CCO across the demographic board.

this is the most attention CCO has gotten in a long time. Dark and Tafoya are the only two on that entire station that were worth listening to for more than 5 minutes... of course Tafoya is a former KFAN employee... Looks like Mick's going to have to look at getting Chad Hartmann and Doogie now because of big bad Dark Starr and his foul mouth... ugh.

I agree. for as long as they have been on, the MTV Award Show have been less about the awards, and more about stirring controversy somewhere.

Was anyone else bothered by the lighting and/or background colors (furniture, curtains, etc.)? I thought that Jay (and other guests) disappeared into the background and furniture because they were all the same dark color. They need better lighting...or maybe I need better glasses.

Jesus, some of you are acting like Kanye killed somebody, not upstaged an untalented pop singer who continues to insist, wrongly, she's country. Was he rude? Yes, but get real.

Not surprising that Neil once again walks out of step with all other critics. National critics are hammering Leno for doing nothing more than basically moving his old tired comedy approach to 90 minutes earlier. Same show different time. What happened to the all new style all new comedy variety hour? Its just the tonight show with Jay Leno before the news, and the Late Night with Conan O'Brien after the news. Very disappointing lack of originality or freshness here.

I turned to football when he interviewed the rapper. I waited for a funny bit during it, but none happened.
Good show otherwise.
