The payoff of partying

So I threw the barbecue. Ignored all of your suggestions about the potluck. Mostly because I felt like I’d already made it an I’ll take care of everything bbq and couldn’t switch it at such a late date.
Spent about $300 on food, beer, supplies. I probably only needed to spend $50.
People don’t like coming to parties emptyhanded. So bottles of wine, six packs, even a 40 arrived at our front porch with our guests.
After giving our neighbor a 12 pack and spending Sunday on the deck, we still have over two cases of beer, half a dozen bottles of wine, and a few 2 liters of pop left.
Now the key is to somehow save the bounty. Does anyone else ever have that problem– buying in bulk and then using it twice as fast because it’s around?
