Financial education is a huge hot button topic and has been for a few years now. Every bank, non profit and educational group seems to have a financial literacy program for young people. Yet high school students are still failing the Jump$tart Coalition for Personal Financial Literacy test and my guess is many adults would too.

Problem is, no one wants to sit down and read pamphlets from mymoney.gov
