The companies don’t care. They figure you will come back regardless. I had an issue with a fridge that was purchased from Sears. It was 3 months old and it stopped working. It took 6 weeks to get a replacement. All sears did was say I should have bought their in store warranty, and they would have brought me a new fridge right away. Needless to say I don’t buy anything from them anymore. But they don’t care.
I got this e-mail too - I was looking for the coupon code as well… oh well…
I love that they have a “forward to a friend” link! Your friend doesn’t even get a “personal” apology, and you’re just the messenger… isn’t that sooo junior high? ![]()
I didn’t get this email, but when I ordered something from JCrew online a couple weeks ago, they flashed an apology screen at me and then gave me a free shipping code to use on my purchase that day. It was something, and I used it! ![]()
I’ve learned that if you want/expect a discount from a company as compensation for poor service or a substandard product you have to ask.
Contact them by email and phone and be specific as to the problem you encountered and what you expect.
