Here are some of the sharpest exchanges between Barack Obama and Hillary Rodham Clinton at last night’s debate in Myrtle Beach, S.C.
Here’s Clinton and Obama arguing over Obama’s remarks about Ronald Reagan and Republican ideas, and Clinton raising Obama’s support from a landlord who has since been charged with fraud and other alleged crimes…
Here’s Clinton hitting Obama for voting “present” so often as an Illinois legislator.
And here, for a little comic relief, is Obama responding to the question of whether Bill Clinton was “the first black president.”
What do you think of their clash?
I didn’t see the debate & don’t watch youtube at work. Having said that…
It sounds like Sen Clinton is telling half the story with her criticisms of Sen Obama. For instance, George Will points out in his column today (at wash post) that Obama’s ‘present’ vote on an abortion rights bill in the IL senate was at the request of abortion rights leadership. Yet the Clinton team wants to criticize him for being soft on ‘womens’ right to choose’ or for being wishy-washy by voting ‘present’.
In my opinion, it suffices as another example of why we’ll all be better off if we can move past the Clinton years. Apparently the people of NY like her as a Senator, I think we should encourage her to continue serving in that capacity.
A few weeks ago I was luke-warm about Hill. Now I’m cold as ice. Her nomination will guarantee a spirited progressive or moderate 3rd party run that will siphon off whatever meager edge she’ll have over the GOP man.
I wonder if any of the DFLers who support HRC are having any second thoughts, or at least worried how the Clintons’ recent behavior could alienate Obama partisans. Young, idealistic voters get turned off by the kind of distortions coming from the former president. Obama brings new blood into the party. Bill and Hill chase them away.
I’m glad Hillary and Obama are able to exchange petty insults while a global financial crisis unfolds . . .

Royinoslo,
Wouldn’t Obama partisans already be somewhat alienated from a Hillary candidacy?
Where’s Bloomberg? C’mon, Mike.
