Twins-Yankees: Postgame

It was a rough night at the park…

Sidney didn’t pitch well, but it wasn’t all his fault. The defense left some plays out there, and Bartlett needs to step up. Three errors in a week.

Sid hadn’t pitched in 10 days, so I was unsure how that would affect him. The pitch to Abreu was a hanger. And he didn’t get the pitch to A-Rod away enough. It was down but broke back over the plate. Sid has the stuff. He just needs to maintain his command.

Lew Ford? Gardy didn’t have an update before the game, but it’s been nearly a month since the surgery.

Glen Perkins pitched well tonight. He gave up a homer to J.R. House in the second inning, then retired 13 straight batters. The bully gave it up late in a 8-1 loss.
