On Deck: Twins-Yankees, Slowey-Igawa, Neal-The Rooster

The Twins are pretty loose today considering that this is a massive game, one that could determine if this will be a winning road trip or not.
Yankees writers are ripping Igawa. “Just watch him,” one said. “What how far he misses the target by.” We’ll see.
Jim Souhan and I are looking at the lineup and thinking, `Gardy better be right today.’ Kubel is on the bench because he thinks Igawa is a tough matchup for him. It’s hard to see Kubel not starting after hitting the big home run on Wednesday.
Castillo is getting another day off to rest his legs.
Because A-Rod is injured, the Twins’ lineup actually has more homers (58-41) than the Yankees. No Yankee has double-digit homers in today’s lineup.
Busy day today. Have a 6 a.m. flight tomorrow through Detroit to Chicago, then straight to the park. I may not have the lineups up by game time, but will at least get a link going…
