[UPDATE]: The game is going on as scheduled. The Twins spoke with local authorities and the decision was made to have fans remain at the Dome to lessen traffic stress on the area. That way, first response teams can get in and out of the area.

The Twins have just announced that Thursday’s game - as well the groundbreaking ceremonies - have been postponed and will be rescheduled.

“The Minnesota Twins announced that they have postponed the Thursday afternoon game vs. Kansas City because of the tragic events which took place on the I-35 W bridge in Minneapolis tonight.” The club said in a release.

Fans at Wednesday’s game were informed moments before the first pitch by the Metrodome public address announcer. The Twins also asked for a moment of prayer.
