I don’t get the Nathen signing either. I think it was damage control on the part of the ownership and a bargaining chip for the midseason trade extravaganza.

It has just been reported that Liriano is going to start in the minors. One start five days from now in Ft. Myers and then a second one five days later in Rochester in the hopes that he is up to 100 pitches.

That’s my feeling, CoreyK. And that’s why I’m down on the Nathan signing. They could’ve used that payroll to sign guys who actually deserve to start in the majors.
