Most of the team's injuries have resulted from that. Maybe they don't have enough authority to tell them what to do on the field. Diving head first into a base does not give them any particular advantage. In fact, they are more likely to end up with an injury because of it. At home Cuddy plays right (no one plays the baggie better, Span still learning to play the bag) Span plays center, Young in left, Gomez sits. On the road Cuddy DH, Span in right, Gomez in Center and Young in left. Look for Kubel to packaged in trade. Monroe stays as power off bench in pinch hitting situations. Check his stats when he was with the Mariners. .241, 4 HR, 28 RBI. Lowest BA of his career aside from his rookie year. His career averages out to a yearly line of .276, 14 HR and 51 RBI. He only played 73 games before being cut because he was terrible. You DON'T want that guy. Might as well trade for L. Rivas and Dougie back from the Pirates. Rich Aurelia can’t hit in the AL.
