I posed the Beltre claim as a question based on the past 3 years’ performance of all players.

And a person would have to do an exhaustive type search to see if he ranks in the top 40 players.

If Beltre isn’t a premier player, he would be on the Twins — ranked only behind M&M.

I can understand what you’re saying but how could Gardy honestly look at one of our starters and tell them that they’re moving to the bullpen for a guy with an 0-3 MLB record this year. All our starters have 7 or more wins and should all reach 10 or more. These are against good MLB teams. I’m not trying to diminish Liriano’s talent, but I would like to see him beat someone out of the spot rather than just be handed it.
