Sane: I can neither confirm nor deny whether or not what might be construed as an “airstrike” is, or is not, being what might be construed as “considered” in the instance of the current dispute regarding what some have properly termed “small ball” and others, despite ample evidence, choose to ignore, or downplay, or misrepresent, in the midst of the aformentioned skirmish in and around the Puget Sound area late last evening.

T - Kind of a small sample size to scrap the idea though, isn’t it?

Now that I am deep in my underground bomb shelter, I wish to repeat with superhuman hernia-inducing emphasis that:

1) basehit bunting in order to “get a batter on base” is NOT small ball; and

2) basehit bunting in order to “get a batter on base” in fact is virtually the definition of playing for a big inning (similar to taking strikes to induce a walk); and

3) If an airstrike is still being considered, I’d like to retract statements 1) and 2).

Didn’t seem like hitting or scoring runs was the problem. Looked like the starting pitching and bullpen was the reason we lost. So trade starting pitching for hitting. Not smart.

If you ask for Putz or relief pitching it might make better sense.
