Dragon, you should also factor in how the new guys have performed for their teams comparred to the counterparts.

For example, how as Tex done statwise. Pudge/Nady/Marte? How about Griffey? I've seen Wise out there a few times and I can't imagine Guillen would sit Thome...

Dragon,
I know that. I am talking about the fact that he is a free agent after this season (and not a good potential signing for the Twins IMHO)

USAF Chief,

First Hudson out for season.

As to CC, I said specifically the stats are good, the bigger question is has the team done dramatically better than would have without the trade.

Since CC was an early trade I will check date. When he 1st got to Milw they went on a tear then lost 5 straight 4 of which were at home to the Cubs.

Others who traded at deadline (using 7/31 record).

LA Dodgers 54-54 now 58-59
LA Angels 68-40 now 73-43
NY Yankees 59-49 now 63-55
Boston 61-48 now 67-51
ChiSox 60-47 now 65-51
Twins 60-48 now 65-52

Boston 3-0 home Oakland, 2-1 away KC and 1-2 away ChiSox...That seems about one would have expected.

LA Angels 1-2 away NY Yankees, 2-1 away Baltimore and 3-0 home NY Yankees...Again seems about what would have been expected with or without Tex.

NY Yankees 2-1 home LA Angels, 2-2 away Texas, 0-3 away LA Angels...maybe a game worse then expected?

ChiSox 1-2 away KC, 2-1 home Detroit, 2-1 home Boston...again about what would be expected.

Twins 2-1 home Cleveland, 1-2 away Seattle and 2-1 away KC...you tell me...3 games down?
