Gardenhire made the predictable mistake of putting Cuddyer in the lineup against the White Sox in the play off game. The Curse of the Cuddyer came through and the Twins bats became worthless. We stated numerous times in the month before the end of the regular season that Gardenhire would find a way to cost the team the division championship, and he did. We also stated numerous time that Cuddyer is a Curse on the Twins team and that his return to the lineup would cost the team the division championship if he was put in the lineup, and guess what, it did. Cuddyer, the over-rated and clumsy player, should be traded as soon as possible to prevent the Twins from senseless losses in the future.

Haven't paid any attention, and didn't want to, to any sports since the loss. I heard the Cubs lost. Don't know, and don't honestly care, how anyone else has done.

**The Twins should have made a trade at the deadline**

Good to see, Steve in London, that I'm not the only Twins fan outside of the Minneapolis-St.Paul area. I still try to go back to the Metrodome at least once a year and couldn't imagine rooting for another baseball team over my beloved Twins!!! You teach them some baseball over the pond out there. PS I'm not as much of a soccer fan, but I do favor MU in the Premier League. Regards, Minnesotan in Miami.

Steve,

I was at the last game in Yankee Stadium with a Brit who works at Lloyd's of London. He's a big Yankees fan, so my company invited him to go to the game. He's taught me some about crickett, even though his # 1 sport is soccer, then golf, then American baseball, then crickett, then American FB.

Last summer, a guy from our London office worked in our US offices in NYC and NJ. He played for us in a softball tournament in Central Park in NYC. He's an avid crickett player and had no problem adjusting to slowpitch softball, hitting over .700 in the tournament and playing in the outfield, handling several chances without an error.

The only difference he saw in hitting is that a good crickett swing is purely inside out, same as a golf swing. However, he easily adjusted to extending his arms outward more for the power needed to drive a slowpitched 12 inch softall.

Good to know another UK American Baseball fan.

To the person who went after Cuddyer. You do not know anything about baseball. He had probably the best at-bat in the game, and Griffey made a great throw home. That throw had to be perfect and he played a shallow centerfield. Plus, Cuddyer has the size for colliding with the catcher and hopefully knocking the ball out. As much as I hated to do it, you have to credit to AJ for making a great play. One more thing, Delmon Young should be traded. He is young enough and has enough talent that someone will take him. He made a lot of mistakes in right field this year and I have never seen anyone swing at so many first pitches in my life. He killed off so many rallies because of his lack of plate discipline. Our outfield should be Span, Gomez, Cuddyer. We need to go get a power hitting 3rd baseman, someone who, other than Morneau, can change a game with one swing. That is all we are missing.
