He cannot be the answer - .233 away from Coors (hitters park)? Above average glove (barely)? Give away a rising OF prospect that is dirt cheap right now and produces (that is also working extra hard in the offseason, which is more than we can say for Magic Trick Cuddy)? No thanks. Walter - luck is part of it, but I think that Anderson deserves quite a bit of credit. Reyes was pretty bad before he came here, and Anderson worked with him to pitch within himself as a lefty-killer and refine his pitches (mainly his fastball and slider). He continued to improve and now is a sure bet for a multi-year 3-4 million dollar contract. Breslow showed stuff before he was dropped (heck if I'll ever know why) and Anderson again worked with him, making him into a stud. Same with Guerrier - nothing flashy, just slow and steady.
