Who’s the upper case JOE? I’ve been out for awhile, but did see the Twins play the Yanks and BJs on 3/20 & 22, respectively.

What’s wrong with Span? Where are Crede’s HRs? Good thing he has an incentive-ladened contract.

Henry - My understanding is that Duensing is not directly competing against Dickey and Humber for the final spot. I believe Duensing already won his spot when Mijares was sent down. So the bullpen looks like this: Ayala, Breslow, Crain, Duensing, Guerrier, Nathan, and the winner between Humber and Dickey.

So it isn’t a no-brainer… Dickey is a little bit better at this point, but Humber has more potential and is out of options. It would take at least a 3/4 brainer to figure out a good solution here.

The contest between Dickey, Humber, and Duensing for the bullpen spot is a no-brainer. Duensing is clearly the best choice-he has more potential, is left handed, and his ERA is far better than the other two possibilities.

Twins fans and Gardenhire are both slow learners. Hey, by mid-season Punto will have demonstrated that he is not a positive for the team. Tolbert should be the starting shortstop.

There are guys in the Hall of Fame that got there doing just that.

Nobody in the Hall of Fame had an ERA over 10, or gave up two runners per inning or a homer every three innings. To get to the Hall of Fame, you also have to get strikeouts, weak grounders and other easy outs.

trish, only put Punto back if he earns it with is bat and glove!!!

TF RE: Gardy “He has spunk, plays a little but of hunch, keeps the team loose - lots of reasons to like the guy.”

I think is was partly Hunch that made him choose Gomez over Span last SP, that worked out okay for everyone. I do agree though Gardy makes some wierd moves.
