No word on Mike Redmond’s status, although Jose Morales is in the lineup today and Brian Buscher is catching in the bullpen.

Update: Redmond is in uniform and is going to try to fight through his groin muscle strain. “I’m taped up pretty good,” he said. “You won’t see any blistering speed out there.” Redmond planned to go through a full pre-game routine.

No word on Rick Stelmaszek, who was in the hospital yesterday.

Update: Stelly was released from an area hospital. Word is that doctors tweaked his medication, and he’s doing much much better. He won’t be at the park today but looks good to go for the weekend trip to his hometown when the Twins face the White Sox.

Here’s an unknown tidbit. Stelmaszek and I attended the same Chicago high school - Mendel Catholic of the powerful Chicago Catholic League. Former major leaguer Ernie Young also went there.

I’m working through all the votes for Pick to Click. Should have results soon.

There will be a moment of silence for the late, great Steve Cannon at 6:57 p.m.
