Yes, Morillo cleared waivers. That turned out well for the Twins, who can sick Bobby Cuellar on him….
The Twins will go with three catchers for a few days to as a precausion. Twins GM Bill Smith said the starters pitching deeper into games and R.A. Dickey’s rubber arm make it easier to go to 11 pitchers for a few days before Jesse Crain comes off the DL.
Update: Joe Crede’s wife, Lisa, gave birth to a boy last night – about a month premature. Crede is with his family (he also has two daughters) in Linn, Mo., and is expected to stay there for a few days. The Twins will use Brendan Harris and Brian Buscher at third until Crede returns.
