Well, I’m going to head off to bed so I can enjoy the fireworks tonight (um, the NEXT tonight…not this tonight)

Noble effort by the bullpen tonight. Too bad the offense couldn’t push that last run across before Dickey tired out.

Let’s hope the local 9 can get their act later today and work the Tigers pitcher. Because their pen is just as worn out as the Twins’

Not exactly on your Dickey assesment. Go back and look at the play by play. He gave up multiple hits in 2 of 3 innings he worked and another in the other inning. He had given up 7 hits in 3 before they scored a run (or maybe after their 1st it’s late for all of us).

He was hit hard the entire outing. And he has had issues his last few times out. Nathan needed to bail him out last time out.

Sheesh, T, it was a 16 inning game. If they take the next 2, then it’s a good series against the Tigers. It’s unrealistic to expect the Twins to go undefeated against the Tigers at home.

Which of my posts gave you the impression I expected a sweep? I’m bummed they couldn’t get that key hit when they needed it…but I certainly am not acting this is the end of the season.

great point on cuddyer, he could really improve overall as a hitter if he could shorten his swing from time to time
