SIPs panels — one big puzzle.

I am on cloud nine today. At 6am I got confirmation that our trusses were being completed and would be on their way early next week. Just a few hours later I received word that our SIPs were to arrive on-site around 10am. I would have run over to the lot immediately but this little thing called “my job” kept me from making a beeline to the lot to watch the actually delivery.
At 11:30am I had made quick work of my meetings and major tasks at hand and used my lunch hour to make the ten minute trip, from my office in Downtown St. Paul to our lot. There in in the front of my lot sat dozens of huge puzzle like pieces made of OSB and foam, some big, some small, some with holes where windows will go. I was suddenly struck with the insatiable desire to solve this massive puzzle. I mean we’ve waited over a year for our house to take its shape and and now all the pieces to make the vision a reality, were just laying in stacks in our yard.
It is so amazing to think that by the middle of next week these assortment of panels will be assembled to form the structure of our home. The crew begin work at 7am on Monday and I plan to be in attendance, as they set the first panels in place.

The SIPs have arrived.

Openings in the middle of panels where windows will go.

Stacks upon stacks of panels await the crews on Monday.

Each stack of panel is assembled and labeled for assembly.
