Not sure how long these links are going to be up, but both the White Stripes and Spoon are currently streaming their upcoming albums. Yep, for free.
Here’s the Stripes’ “Icky Thump”: http://www.mtv.com/music/the_leak/the_white_stripes/icky_thump/
And here’s Spoon’s “Ga Ga Ga”:http://www.mergerecords.com/gagagajuke/
Opinions on the albums?

both are pretty solid and i prefer ‘em both to their respective previous efforts, but i can’t say either are 2 of my absolute favorites on the year so far.
Icky is really fun though, and while I haven’t really cared too much about TWS since De Stijl & White Blood Cells, I can definitely see this one regaining a bit of my lost interest.
the new Spoon isn’t quite as hooky as their older records on your initial listens, but it definitely grows on you after a while. Can’t say i like it as much as Girls Can Tell, Kill The Moonlight, or maybe even Series of Sneaks, but I’m enjoying it more out of the gate than Gimme Fiction, which took a while to grow on me other than the obvious singles.
oh, and by “previous” efforts, i just meant their last records, Get Behind Me Satan & Gimme Fiction, not beyond that…
