I heard solace loved Nelly.
i actually got offered a pair of free tickets…
didn’t go however
I’m disappointed in Bream’s review of Nelly Furtado’s amazing show. He didn’t like how she failed to be a diva. Well, does Nelly Furtado claim to be a diva? She was there to sing, and boy can she sing. Last night’s performance was without doubt one of the most impressive live acts I’ve witnessed!
If Nelly wants to throw in some dancing of her own to entertain the crowd, why not?
In addition, calling her third album a “sellout” is downright ridiculous. First, artists can’t explore other styles? Her Folklore was significantly different from Whoa Nelly! and no one complained about that! Look at how other popular artists’ music has changed — Madonna for example. Does her lastest album sound anything like her first? No. (And I’m not aiming to say Nelly and Madonna are equals, so don’t get all excited.)
I’m not surprised she performed more songs from Loose than other albums, seeing as it was the “Get Loose” Tour…
Nelly’s vocals were amazing and the performance as a whole was phenomenal. Everyone I was with (we were the 4 with the “MA NE AT ER” shirts, if you saw us) thoroughly enjoyed the show.
For those that didn’t enjoy her, what went wrong? What did you expect?
Boring concert. Too big of an arena for her. Not enough stage presence. I’m glad my tickets were free.
That was a wise decision.
She definitely doesn’t have the fan base to pull off an arena show, so of course low attendance was disappointing.
Costume choices were questionable, but as an entertainer - she was great!
Very enthusiastic and energetic and you could tell she was having fun, which is always great to see. It was an enjoyable show!
Oh! I forgot to mention too that she has an AMAZING voice. I defintely agree that she shined vocally on her ballads. Especially “Try.”
She was amazing. This is the second time I have seen her. I saw her the first time she came to MN at the Quest. She changed her style, so what, she is an awesome performer and singer. She rocked it.
Just saw the show the Greek Theater out here in Los Angeles. The venue is smaller about 6000. Great show except she opened with Say It Right. DONT open with your latest hit song. I was the only one standing and dancing to it. So i sat down. She should have sung it nearer to the end. We would have been physced (sic) up for it. Nice to hear the blondie Mix. SHe is super HOT, even with the tree trunk legs and big hips, she is FOINE.
