Two shows down, one to go.

After 45 minutes at Macy’s, Prince clocked in at two hours, 10 minutes at the Target Center. The concert kicked off on a nostalgia trip with semi-surprise guest Wendy Melvoin (of the Revolution) joining him for “Purple Rain” (usually a closer, not an opener) and “Take Me With U.” From there, Prince shredded his way through the next few songs, playing a Stratocaster with brute force. He then bounced between funky party starters and some tender gems, as you’ll see by the setlist.
