White Stripes strange Canadian trip

Still bummed that the White Stripes haven’t booked a Twin Cities date yet? There’s a bunch of fun fan-shot clips on YouTube from the duo’s Canadian trek that might keep you entertained in the meantime. In every city on their tour, Jack and Meg played some kind of oh-so-clever secret show, including a (click below):
City bus gig in Winnipeg (guess which song they do)
And, to fulfill a pledge to play in every Canadian province, anabbreviatedgig in St. John’s Newfoundland (funny stuff).

By far THE most original band out there today (have you heard their new album?!). How many other bands would take the time to go to far out places (like Fargo and Canada) AND do surprise small shows - it goes to show just how much they care about their fans. I’ve seen them live five times and Jack White is amazing on guitar (and many other instruments) and while I suspect they’ll come to the Twin Cities at some point of this tour, to make sure I see them I got tickets to the Fargo show in October. Yes, I plan on getting there early in the day so I might catch a “surprise” show. Rock on Jack and Meg - see you in October!
