The Brothers Robinson and their gang just booked an Oct. 16 gig at the State Theatre, and it looks like they’ll be playing new materialthere. Word from the Black Crowes’ publicist is they just finished recording an album in New York with Paul Stacey producing (he’s also their second guitarist on tour). Luther Dickinson of the North Mississippi All-Stars also plays guitar on the album (but won’t be on tour). Look for a spring 2008 release date. Tickets for the Stage gig go on sale Saturday at 10 a.m. for $40-$45.
