What a light show! What harmonies! And they finally did rock out in the home stretch.

What did you think of the concert? What other songs did you wish they had played? Mayberry? Prayin for Daylight?

Here’s what RF played on Saturday:

1. Me and My Gang 2. Fast Cars & Freedom 3. I Melt 4. Take Me There 5. I Got You (I Feel Good) — the James Brown hit 6. My Wish 7. These Days

[small stage set] 8. Pieces 9. To Make Her Love Me 10. Yes I Do 11. Winner at a Losing Game 12. You 13. Over the Rainbow as guitar instrumental by Joe Don Rooney as he walks back to main stage

[main stage] 14. Stand 15. Feels Like Today 16. Backwards 17. Bless the Broken Road 18. Stills Feels Good 19. What Hurts the Most 20. He Aint the Leaving Kind (with a little bit of Journey’s Dont Stop Believing)

I am a huge Rascal Flatts fan… last night was actuall my 4th concert of theres. I was disappointed with their enthusiasm, to the point I wondered if Gary was under the weather?! The end of the concert displayed what they are usually like on stage… wonderful performers, it just took them way too long to warm up. “still” love them :)

I am also a huge Rascal Flatts fan. This was my fifth concert and I agree it took them awhile to warm up. They seemed like it was “old news” when they started. The encore was by far the best part of the show…and I am disappointed they didn’t play “Prayin for Daylight” or “Everyday Love”. Don’t get rid of the oldies! But overrall, I wasn’t disappointed and I still love those guys!

I’m such a huge fan of theirs and although this wasn’t their BEST concert, I still had a great time. Seeing it was one of the last stops on the tour, I think the guys were a little burnt out (which I can sympathize with) but I do wish they would have played “Prayin’ For Daylight” considering that’s what got them on the charts. But nonetheless, I left feeling like the time I spent waiting in line for tickets and the money I spent on them was WELL worth it!

:0 )

This has been my 5th concert and love it. Didnt get to hear the old songs from their other cds.. I was impressed by the stage, they warm me up when they talked and joke around, and loved the dressup from the band. Thank-you :-)

The light show was awesome, the two stages were really what set this show apart from others I’ve seen there. Rascal Flatts is a huge favorite of mine and this was the first time I saw them live, however, I was a bit disappointed in thier lack of enthusiasm as well. I thought the highlight of the show was Joe Don’s guitar solo to “Over the Rainbow” as well as “He Aint the Leaving Kind” with the Marine Corps up on stage, that was very cool. Overall, they were worth the ticket price.

I was a little disappointed with the concert myself. I did NOT like that they used the TV screens just for light shows/soundwaves.

The stage set up was great but overall a little disappointed.

I would have loved to hear Mayberry and Moving On.

With that said I still have an awesome time!

I thought the concert was very enjoyable. Could have been a bit longer though.

My 12 year old daughter and I were very pleased to hear “their” songs. When we saw them at the State Fair last year they played some old 80’s rock songs and we prefer to hear their songs. We were in row 16, very close to the round stage and enjoyed the time they spent there, though we’d have liked to hear more of their bigger hits when they were on that stage.

I’d have to agree that they should have had some screens with close up camera shots of the band. Though we weren’t too far back, we are vertically challenged and it was tough to see through the heads. We bought our tickets through the fan club so we didn’t know what our seats were until we picked them up at 5:30. Hats off to R.F. for keeping some of the best seats out of the hands of scalpers!

Our favorite song was “My Wish”.

Did anyone else think there might have been a political suggestion in the “He Aint the Leaving Kind” & “Don’t Stop Believing” during the hats off to the Marines? We all salute our young men and women in the military. I just wondered if there was anything more to that message (I may be reading too much into it).

I have been a fan for quite some time now and thought the show was fantastic!! You really shouldn’t get a crowd “rock’n” with a ballad. Many of those songs have a very personal meaning for me and I’m sure many others. Hearing them live was a very special experience for me. Thanks for the enjoyable evening!!!

I have seen them three years in a row and this was such a perfect night! I was with a good friend of mine and we had such a great time. She and i were loving every minute of it!! Couldn’t have been better, Rascal Flatts is and always will be known as the greatest music group! They are amazing and i cant wait to see em at We-Fest 2008!! Headlining with Kenny Chesney!

I am a huge fan of Rascal Flatts and absolutely love the new album! The concert, however, was somewhat of a let- down for me. The guys lacked energy/enthusiasm and I was disappointed that they didn’t play more stuff off their new album or at least play less ballads. I was hoping for some oldies too. Prayin for Daylight would have been nice and Waterfall. I saw the guys at the state fair 3 years ago and actually thought that was a better concert musically, but I did really like the special effects at the Xcel concert. The guys lack of enthusiasm seemed to rub off on many of the fans in club seating, most of who remained seated through almost the entire concert. Big screens to show close-ups of the guys would have been nice. On a positive note, Joe Don’s guitar solo blew me away!
