Ozzy’s Halloween treats

Ozzy.jpgIn the end, he barely did 90 minutes, and even less if you don’t count theguitar solo and theopening video (both plenty long). But it still seemed worth the price, especially with the added Halloween momentum (the crowd was really into it) and the entertaining opening set by Rob Zombie.

After seeing a few of the Ozzfests over the past seven or eight years, I was definitely more impressed by this showover those. It just felt more intense and focused, less by-the-numbers.

Do the other Ozzfest vets out there agree? Let us know, or leave any other thoughts on the show below. Click here for the full review if you didn’t see it. Here’sOzzy’s setlist:

1. I Don’t Wanna Stop 2. Crazy Train 3. Suicide Solution 4. Mr. Crowley 5. Not Going Away 6. Road to Nowhere 7. Bark at the Moon 8. Zakk Wylde guitar solo 9. I Don’t Know 10. Here For You 11. I Don’t Want to Change the World 12. Mama, I’m Coming Home Encore: 13. Paranoid

It would have been totally awesome if we could have heard Iron Man!

Great fun! I took my nine and a half year old son. He is a huge Rob Zombie fan and I took him a year and a half ago to the Myth to see him but this show was better. More pyro and flames! He had never seen Ozzy (except on some of my Osbournes DVD’s) and enjoyed hi as well. From my spot on the side I could see Ozzy’s setlist at his feet. After Paranoid on the setlist it said Iron Man/Sweat Leaf/C.O.G I was so excited for this stuff and he didn’t play it! Only real bummer of the night. The one other time I’ve saw Ozzy at Ozzfest a few years back he played more Sabbath stuff.

I agree that Ozzy’s Halloween bash was more distinguished than an Ozzfest show. The entire band was absolutely smashing; and Jack Wilder was close to stealing the show. It would have been nice if Rob would have joined Ozzy for at least a song… and I have to admit: seeing Ozzy’s bare ass was definitely a highlight!

Words I never imagined seeing in print:
“seeing Ozzy’s bare ass was definitely a highlight!”

Rock on, Kim!

We were in the front row and it was an absolute awesome show. I wish it had lasted longer, but it rocked none the less. He seemed thrilled to be there with us!

Rob Zombie was really awesome!!! In This Moment was a really good opening act. Their female singer is a real screamer!! We loved the atmosphere and the music. Zack a is true master on the guitar. The whole band rocked!! If you weren’t there you missed out.

FINALLY someone says something about the opener IN THIS MOMENT whose disc “Beautiful Tragedy” is one that I can’t get enough of. I saw them at The Rock in Maplewood earlier this year and was blown away. I can only imagine the great show they put on before Zombie and Ozzy. I was hoping ITM would have made it into the review but was sadly disappointed.

I saw him at the show afterward, in Des Moines, Or you may be more familiar with the place where he bit the head off the bat. He switched up the set and played the song “Fire in the Sky”, off No Rest for the Wicked, which was really awesome.
