Coachella? Yep, ruled that one too.

The verdict was unanimous: Prince kicked ass at Coachella over the weekend, putting other acts to shame much like he did at the Super Bowl last year. The New York Times gave his performance a rave writeup (click here). So did the L.A. Times (click here). And so did Rolling Stone (click here). Everyone seemed to especially enjoy his cover tunes, including Radiohead’s “Creep.” There are a couple different videos of him performing the song up now on YouTube. The best one I could find has good video and poor audio, but you’ll get the idea (click here). Take a look now before his lawyers get wind of the clips.

Doodz, this was my fifth time seeing Prince, and I can’t tell you how many times I got the chills. It ws jaw-droppingly good. When the chords for “Creep” started, it could’ve been “Creep” or “Sea of Love,” but luckily it was the former. He also played the Beatles’ “Come Together” and one of his backing singers did a gospel-like take on Sarah McLachlan’s “In the Arms of an Angel.” The set’s highlight though was “Let’s Go Crazy” at the end.
