Kate Nash set list @ First Ave
Posted on May 4th, 2008 – 1:54 PMBy Jon Bream
Like most MySpace music sites, this Brit MySpace fave-turned-pop sensation seemed like a work in progress. At her best, Kate Nash was Alanis Morissette as a guy-bashing piano popster. But her Cockney accent and attitude seemed put on at times.
She played all the songs from her CD, “Made of Bricks,” and several new numbers. Here is the set list from Sat at First Avenue:
1. Pumpkin Soup 2. Sh*t Song 3. Stitchy Leggings 4. We Get On 5. Birds 6. Nicest Thing 7. I Hate Seagulls 8. Dickhead 9. Pick Pocket 10. Do Waa Do 11. Paris 12. Skeleton Song 13. Mariella 14. Mouthmash 15. Foundations
Encore 16. Baby Love (by the Supremes) 17. Don’t You Want to Share the Guilt 18. Model Behaviour 19. Merry Happy

Nice review Jon, I estimated a mix of 70% female/30% male for this US NME tour.
For having just one major release so far thought her range of material was pretty good, and she will get better.
The third encore song I thought was Punk Song (according to the stage set list).
Brithster Kate Nash ponded out paino keyes to show angst agianst men. Likense mypace queens Colbert Calliaer adn Sarah Borealuius wiht Love Sogn. Show should hvae been at Fine Lien.
Good grief, I didn’t know she had that many songs.
