Yeah, Matthew is listed at http://www.First-Avenue.com too… I just didn’t think it was newsworthy! Sorry, Matthew.

A band that usually plays First Ave, and one of the best live bands of today, Kings of Leon just announced a Nov. 1 date at the Orpheum. Look for tickets on sale in a week or two.

Add another band I know you like, Chris, to the Kings Of Leon date-the Whigs are opening, along with We Are Scientists. Also, Magnetic Morning, featuring drummer Sam Fogarino from Interpol, and Swervedriver frontman Adam Franklin are playing the 7th Street Entry on October 27th.

I picked a bad week to go on my honeymoon - I’ll miss TV on the Radio and Of Montreal! Wire, is playing the night before the wedding; I think we’ll alter our plans and move the rehearsal dinner to First Avenue. What do you think?

Dandy Warhols Sept. 9th at First Ave with excellent newer L.A. rockers Darker My Love as openers.

WIRE should be an outstanding show, judging by the new CD. They don’t play much in the way of “oldies”, so each show is a discovery.
