Jeanne Arland Peterson gets hip

Piano star Jeanne Arland Peterson, the matriarch of Minnesota’s first family of jazz, had elective hip replacement surgery. Her family reports that she is doing fine at Methodist Hospital in St. Louis Park. Quipped son Paul Peterson in an e-mail: Now she really is the “hippest” of them all!
