Thank you Minneapolis! My wife and I drove 12 hours from Canada to see the Eagles concert. It was the first time we saw the Eagles and enjoyed the show. Perhaps it wasn’t their best, as some writers have stated, but we then we don’t have the experience to compare their performances. Simply put, we felt it was worth the trip to your wonderful city; and consider what you paid for tickets vs our drive, hotels, meals (at your great steak houses like Pittsburgh Blue and Seven) etc.

Yes, we also saw the Twins play - but I won’t mix my reviews.

Thanks again for a great concert in a wonderful city!!

Fabulous concert! Nothing to complain about what so ever! Harmonies were beautiful! The concert was everything we hoped it would be!
Maybe a little less time watching the twins game and your critic may have found himself enjoying the concert!

My wife and I have not been to a concert for years. We both are fans of the Eagles, and we loved the concert.
It was great - period.
They have never sounded better, and as for the showmanship - given the age of the crowd I think it was spot-on.
Professional, entertaining, and enjoyable.

Hey Mike,

Maybe the Strib can run an on-line poll to see if my assumption is correct, but we know that won’t happen because this paper is in denial. That’s why the paper is on the verge of bankruptcy even though management and the brilliant editorial staff would disagree.

I wonder if they will reconsider while they seek employement elsewhere…..

It has been 30 years since my last Eagles concert, (Hotel California tour),and drove 7hrs to see my favorite band. They are the classiest bunch of musicians on the planet and have been putting out great music for many years. The group of 8 I came with thought it was one of the best concerts they have seen. They sound the way you remember them and continue to write music that touches old fans as well as new ones…don’t know what this critic was smoking but the Eagles rocked!, so does Minneapolis, and the Twins still are the best even with the loss…Thanks Minneapolis!! One great City!!! Another great evening of entertainment!

PERSONALLY, I THOUGHT THE CONCERT WAS PRETTY GOOD….MAYBE, NOT THE BEST EVER BUT CERTAINLY NOT BAD….I WILL SAY, THOUGH, THAT ALTHOUGH THIS CONCERT TOUR WAS NOT LABELED A “FAREWELL TOUR” LIKE OTHERS OF THEIRS HAVE BEEN CALLED IN THE PAST, THE WAY THEY CLOSED THE SHOW WITH “DESPARADO” AND THEIR WAVES GOODBYE, I’D SAY THAT IT SEEMS LIKE A FAIRLY GOOD CHANCE WE HAVE SEEN THE LAST CONCERT OF THE GROUP TOGETHER HERE IN THE TWIN CITIES. I MAY BE WRONG BUT THAT’S WHAT IT LOOKED LIKE TO ME.

What do the Twins have to do with the Eagles concert exactly?

I don’t think we were at the same concert based upon your ridiculous unprofressional review!

This concert was exceptional - exactly what I wanted and everything I expected. They are true musicians and have tremendous harmonies and play from the heart! It’s ALL about the music - not the show!

Look up “class” in the dictionery because they have it and you don’t Jon!

What is the Star Tribune doing with a reviewer like this???

On the same blog .. what I love and hate about popular music.
Older but still interested, relevant musicians like Westerberg and Stinson making a plan to work together again (we hope.) But taking it slow until it’s good enough .. until they have something to say.
And the corpses known as the Eagles continuing to assault and insult the American public with bland, lame Vegas-style review shows they pass off as a concert.
