Turns out, the shows were very different but had the same overall effect. Click here for the full review. Scroll down for the set lists from the first night. Here’s what they played last night, a lot of nuggets not often played in either bands’ case:
TRUCKERS: Marry Me / That Man I Shot / Self-Destructive Zones / The Company I Keep / Carl Perkins’ Cadillac / Righteous Path / Sink Hole / Ghost to Most / The Home Front / The Living Bubba / Zip City / Dead, Drunk & Naked / Guitar Man Upstairs / Hell No I Ain’t Happy / 3 Dimes Down / Lookout Mountain
HOLD STEADY: Hornets! Hornets! / Constructive Summer / Stuck Between Stations / Navy Sheets / Banging Camp / Yeah Sapphire / Sweet Payne / Joke About Jamaica / Hot Soft Light / Stay Positive / Stevie Nix / Cattle & the Creeping Things (included a shout-out to Blind Approach) / Massive Nights / Chicago Seemed Tired Last Night / Some Kooks / Cheyenne Sunrise / Lord, I’m Discouraged / Don’t Let Me Explode / Chips Ahoy! / Sequestered in Memphis / Slapped Actress
ALL-STAR ENCORE (every band member eventually came on stage): Most People Are DJs / Look Out Cleveland (cover from the Band) / Let There Be Rock / Killer Parties

They need to make this into a semi-annual event. After Saturday’s show, I feel five years younger and smell of excellence and cologne.
