Rock stars have a tendency to sometimes talk out of their arse. I have a feeling that’s what Chris Martin was doing when he told an interviewer that Coldplay would probably break up next year. You can read about it here, or on most of the music sites. The reason I think he wasn’t really being serious is his line, “I’m 31 now, and I don’t think bands should keep going past 33.” That’s intentionally funny, I think. Otherwise, by that logic, U2 never would have made “Achtung Baby.” And we know how much Chris likes U2.
