As is recounted in the “Blues, Rags & Hollers” DVD, the first act to perform at the 400 Bar when it opened in 1970 was Willie Murphy with Tony Glover. The West Bank-reared blues/folk legends — who don’t play together very often – are getting together there again 38 years later on Wednesday. It should be a special night. Glover has been holding down Wednesdays at the bar this month with his more full-time cohort Spider John Koerner. Renowned music scribe and Dylanologist Greil Marcus reportedly made it down to their gig there last week (if you need any kind of outside assurance these guys are the real deal). Show time is 8:30 p.m., $5.
