Fine Review. I thought the opening band was excellent. Sharon is a wonderful performer with charisma for days. The Dap-Kings are always tight, on this tour opening performance I thought the drummer was the best performer, his varied beats were on all night. The Dap-Tone Horns were also on fire. The dudes pulled on stage were beyond stiff (and extra white) the cougars pulled onstage (who sat directly in front of us) were super drunk before they even made it to the stage. Glad they were pulled on stage because they never returned to their seats to annoy us again... Great Show !!!

Nice review, Jon. I agree with your observations about the sound quality, I thought Binky sounded especially muddled.

And I just want to say, hey! That's my boyfriend you're calling a stiff. He was pretty nervous, wouldn't you be if you were plucked from the crowd by a powerful woman such as Ms. Jones? I thought he looked great. But I guess I'm pretty biased!

First time seeing Sharon Jones live last night and she blew me away. She seems to share a connection based on love with her audience. I definately wasn't expecting her to pull people out of the audience to dance/sing with her. Her show-womanship is unrivaled in this day and age. The woman oozes charisma, and I think I may have had a drop land on me last night!
