Allow me to point you to my column/plea that ran before the start of last season. Hey, the regurgitate the same formula every year, why can’t I?

American Idol is the McDonalds of music. It is a disgusting waste of TV time that cheapens, and bastardizes the music world… WE don’t need any more idiots with pretty faces that can’t make their own music. This is glorified Karaoke with the twist of having a has-been musician that didn’t write her own songs… I think they call this disease POP STAR?

The point is that this show is a disgrace to music… I will take Leonard Cohen’s THE FUTURE, Mark Lanegan’s Whiskey for the Holy Ghost, anything by Nick Cave, Pearl Jam, Springsteen, or Neil Young… that is real music…

Pop music is like toilet paper, and American Idol is used toilet paper.

When you hear that more people voted for some twit on that show than the president… it shows the state of how far this country has fallen, and why we are in the state we are in.

People… go buy a Ramones cd, or download some Miles Davis… learn about real music, and let this pop crap get flushed!
