This was the first time I’ve seen Kris Kristofferson solo. I have to say it was better than with a band. In this context, the focus was on his songs, storytelling and personality. Loved his humor, both comments between songs and in mid-song (”I don’t care who’s right or wrong,” he sang in “Help Make Make It Through the Night” and added “yes I do”). 

Not only did he cut a few songs short by abruptly ending with “thank you” but he blew a few lyrics. “Sorry about that error in the middle,” he said after “From Here to Forever.” ”Old age is not for sissies.”

Kristofferson gushed how much he loved the crowd’s spirit and, as he exited, said “I will never forget Minneapolis.”
