Panic over Panic! split?

Two-fifths of Panic! at the Disco has quit the band, but it looks like the rest of the group will carry on in time to play the tour with Blink-182 that stops at Xcel Energy Center on Aug. 18. Guitarist Ryan Ross and bassist Jon Walker are the two who’ve exited, citing a desire to “embark on a musical excursion of our own.” Ross and drummer Spencer Smith are the original co-founders of the band.

So does this make everyone more or less interested in catching them at the X? Or was the band already fading, anyway?

On an entirely different note. Can I just say that Fountains of Wayne sucked at the Cedar last night? Phoned it in. Listless. Boring, stupid banter (like the off base Wilco comment). And the Cedar needs to know when NOT to set up chairs. Biggest recent hit - Traffic & Weather? Didn’t play it. AND, they did a slow version of Stacy’s Mom. Bo-ring. Had to get that out of my system. Oh, yeah, and I could not possibly care less about Panic!
