Poplife is dead. Long live Artcetera.
Posted on September 22nd, 2009 – 2:05 PMBy Chris Riemenschneider
My posting on today’s Phoenix in-store set at the Electric Fetus marks the end of Poplife and the beginning of a new, all-things-A&E blog called Artcetera, which debuted today. Click here to reset your RSS feeds to the new blog.
Once there, you can set the category to just “Music,” and thus not have to read about Joe Dowling’s favorite brand of licorice or whatever fascinating topic the theater guys are writing about. But we’re actually hoping this promotes a little cross-pollination between all the local arts worlds. Jon Bream and I will be doing the same post-concert posts with set lists, gig announcements and other matters to spout off about. Please stay with us and continue posting your own comments, although you’re going to have to log in to the Strib mothership log-on center to do so (pretty easy).

I know a way to make the site better…
Have someone who is more in touch with music and isn’t such a tool as Chris Riemenschneider running your blog. Really, you haven’t changed since the U of M.
Once a douchebag, always a douchebag.
J rock, nice attitude! Mature, concise….and even holding some grudge from decades ago. Must be fun bein’ you!
J rock has a pretty good point. I’d be a little less hateful in my terminology for it, but seriously this is the worst run blog on the Strib. And having Chris and Bream in charge of pop music, or music reviews in general is a slap in the face to music. I remember reading an interview with Paul Stanley of Kiss where it was pretty clear that he felt that he was being interviewed by a handicapped child and gave pity answers… with their elbows on the pulse of the minnesota scene, and a flatline on the national scene they are more pointless than Rue Paul’s testicles
Dakka Dakka!
It’s spelled Rupaul, not Rue Paul.
I never even went to the U of M, J Rock. Not one class. I still have trouble finding Northrop Auditorium when I’m down there. That must’ve been somebody else who gave your band a bad review a decade ago, but either way, go ahead and get over it.
And sorry I had fun with Paul Stanley instead of taking him ultra-seriously, Expression451. The guy is a god, for sure.
Ah, I’ll miss all the anonymous comments here. What ever will you folks do with your time now???
not read your blog.
I think most of the comments are made by one bitter person using multiple identities..
WHY IS THIS NOT AN ARTCETERA LINK YET?!
Thank you for another great post.
I look forward to many more entries with high quality info.
I’m a marketer myself and your information always seems to get my business brain going!!
