Stillwater leads 2-0

It took the Ponies 12:55 to put a shot on net, but when they finally did, it was a goal. Freshman forward Lisa Tuuri took the puck from against the boards at the red line, and scored through two defenders past North Metro goalie Kayla Kreuter’s glove side. Stillwater scored again on the powerplay with 37 seconds remaining in the period when a shot bounced off Kreuter’s stick and Ponies sophomore forward Callie Dahl stuffed it in.
You can bet Stillwater is hearing a familiar speech in the locker room right now from coach Tony Scheid. Last night, the Ponies and the Stars both came back from two-goal deficits to win, prompting Scheid to call a two-goal lead “the worst lead in the hockey.”
