We’re in for a good one!

Eden Prairie and Edina are now tied 3-3 after two periods of play in the Section 2AA girls’ hockey championship.

Edina tied it at 2-2 when Laura Hinueber shot into a wide-open net off a Madie Burke rebound 4:39 into the second.

After Edina’s Greer Vogl rang the pipe with a hard slap shot with 7:31 to play, Eden Prairie’s Kelsey Ketcher put the Eagles up 3-2 with a well-earned goal. The play was set up by defender Kelly Seeler’s diving play at the blue line to keep the puck in the offensive zone.

EP’s lead lasted all of 41 seconds, though. The Hornets’ Grace Hoene again tied the score with a goal 2:40 before the horn.
