Adapted floor hockey tournament starts today

The state high school adapted floor hockey tournament gets underway later today, with quarterfinals in both the CI and PI divisions starting at 5 p.m. at Bloomington Jefferson High.

Defending champion Anoka-Hennepin brings a perfect 12-0 record into the PI tournament, while the CI division will see a new champion emerge. The quarterfinal matchups are as follows:

PI Division
Anoka-Hennepin (12-0) vs. Minneapolis South (5-7-1)

South Suburban (9-2-1) vs. Brainerd/Pillager (8-4)

Robbinsdale/Hopkins/Mound Westonka (10-2) vs. Dakota United (10-3)

Rochester Area (10-1-1) vs. Mounds View/Irondale/Roseville (6-6-1)

Semifinals start at 10:30 a.m. Saturday; the championship game will begin at 2 p.m. Saturday.

CI Division
Maple Grove (11-1) vs. Mounds View/Irondale/Roseville (6-7)

Winona (13-2) vs. South Suburban (5-10)

Anoka-Hennepin (10-3) vs. Owatonna (10-4-1)

Dakota United (14-0) vs. North Suburban (7-6)

Semifinals start at noon Saturday, with the championship game at 3:45 p.m.
