This is a busy week for prep sports, and the busiest school might be Forest Lake. I am writing a story previewing the hectic week — which includes state tournaments in golf, softball, tennis and track — and it seems like Forest Lake takes the cake.

Here’s the Rangers’ week in a nutshell:

The baseball team is in Cambridge to face Duluth Central in the 3A, Section 7 playoffs on Tuesday … On Tuesday and Wednesday, the girls’ and boys’ golf teams will play in the 3A state tournament at Bunker Hills … Eighth-grade tennis player Dusty Bover will compete in 2A singles and at the U of M’s Baseline Tennis Center on Thursday and Friday … the softball team will play in the 3A state tourney Thursday and Friday in Mankato … and boys’ and girls’ track athletes will compete in six individual events and two relays Friday and Saturday at Hamline.

And then there’s this: the seniors will graduate Thursday night.

Busy busy busy.
