Kylie Peterson of Apple Valley, who won the Class 2A 100  and 200 meters at the state meet and ran a leg on the championship 4×100 relay team, has been named the Gatorade girls’ track and field athlete of the year in Minnesota.

Peterson will continue her track career with the Gophers next season.
