End 1st: New London-Spicer 14, DeLaSalle 0

It’s been all Wildcats so far here, as NLS has driven for one touchdown and returned an interception for a score as well. Junior cornerback Erik Tengwall stepped in front of an out route on defense for New London-Spicer, and there was nothing but FieldTurf and blue seats in front of him after the interception.
DeLaSalle hasn’t been able to move the ball at all so far, no doubt a surprise for a team that’s 12-o and averaging 53 points per game.

DeLaSalle v. New London-Spicer…WHO YA GOT?
DeLaSalle: the school is ON AN ISLAND. This alone makes them a contender. Having your own island is like having your own hovercraft or robot army.
New London-Spicer: If you go to Melvins in Spicer, order the Melvinizer*. One part pineapple juice, two parts rum, a generous pour of unleaded gasoline topped with more rum, and the guaranteed loss of at least one valuable motor skill upon the drink’s completion. That numb feeling you get comes in handy when the falling down starts.
(*Don’t order the Melvinizer. You’re too old to be doing that. Stick to beer or wine, chief.)
Advantage: New London-Spicer. Sorry, DeLaSalle fans. It’s science.
