End 1st: Royalton 8, Lake Park-Audubon 0

Turnovers have played a big part in the first quarter. Both teams intercepted a pass around midfield (LB Dan Gadacz for Royalton, DB Elijah Beaudine for LP-Audubon), and both teams used that moment to spring their first extended drives of the game.
Royalton’s riding their twin backfield horses, repeatedly sending sophomore Zach Lanners off tackle and senior Ryan Wiener through the middle, and the duo powered the Royals down the field following the interception for the first score of the game. LP-A is mixing the run and the pass effectively (especially with runs from senior Kenyon O’Brien), and has driven to the Royalton 15 as the first quarter ends.
UPDATE: O’Brien plunged in for the score on the fourth play of the second quarter; it’s Royalton 8, Lake Park-Audubon 6, with both teams scoring following a turnover.

Jon
Stu told us we could get meat cooking tips here. I’m looking for a new chicken recipe, you got any advice?
Thanks for the playoff updates!
Oooohh…
Chicken!
Congrats Jon on getting this high paying gig (and highly anticipated by the blogging world).
Go Irish!!
Royalton v. Lake Park-Audobon…WHO YA GOT?
Royalton: home of International House of Goofy Crap Treasure City. 15 minutes from my house.
Lake Park-Audobon: Wiki says their school fight song is the Notre Dame Victory March. Everyone with a conscience and the capacity for pure, unfettered hate hates Notre Dame.
ADVANTAGE: Royalton. Sorry, LP-A fans. It’s science.
I’m going to put you in a little box here…Royalton’s fight song is the Notre Dame Vicorty March as well…
