At one point in the third quarter, Kevin Lindh carried for only five yards. Said Preps head honcho Mike Rand: “Wow, that’s really going to kill his average.” At halftime, Lindh was averaging 25.4 yards per carry; at the end of three, he’s picking up barely 17 yards a crack, with 11 carries for 195 yards (and three touchdowns). I guess the Hurricanes have some film study to do. Anyway, Houston is emptying its bench, and it’ll be running time in the fourth quarter.
In terms of timing, we should be right on schedule to start the Class 1A semifinals at 10:15 a.m. (Of course, not every game will have twelve minutes of running time.)
