End 3rd: Northfield 28, Orono 6

Cole Jirik managed to argue his way back into the game, after leaving late in the first half. Naturally, he’s now recovered a fumble and caught a touchdown in the third quarter. I’m starting to suspect that there may be more than one of him.
Orono, on the other hand, just can’t get out of its own way. The Spartans have turned the ball over six times (three fumbles, three interceptions), and are 1-4 in the red zone. They actually have more first downs than Northfield, 16-14, and haven’t been grievously outgained (377-285), but the turnovers have made this game into a near-blowout.
