Mankato West closed out a convincing victory over Northfield in the Class 4A title game. Unlike last year, there was no flip into the end zone on the final play — just 48 very solid minutes of football by the Scarlets.

That will do it for us. It’s been great year a and a great two-day Prep Bowl. Catch your breath. Enjoy your weekend. The winter sports season will soon take center stage.
